Work Packages
Work Package 1 includes the communication and information exchange between the partners to meet the consortium contractual obligations and prepare the final deliverables, as well as the project management and quality assurance by the co-ordinator.
In Work Package 2 information about existing national building typologies will be collected and analysed regarding their structure, their data sources, their application ranges and their already achieved dissemination. Based on this survey a harmonised approach for a structure of national typologies will be developed according to the main project objectives:
- delivering well structured basic data for experts who want to analyse the residential building stock and carry out scenario analyses
- delivering clear and comprehensible data presentation so that it is easy to use for initial energy advice (e.g. by energy consultants) and understandable for the public (e.g. house owners).
In Work Package 3 each partner will develop, adapt or update the building typology of his country. For this purpose the common typology structure will be filled with data (e.g. frequencies of building types, typical values of envelope areas, U-values, g-values etc., efficiency of heat supply systems) using different kinds of data sources. Each partner will define refurbishment measures on the two different levels “typical” and “advanced”. On this basis the energy saving potential and the achievable energy performance assessment according to the national regulations are calculated. The results will be documented in a brochure for each country in the respective national language.
Work Package 4 will bring all results together by means of the Typology Webtool. The webtool can be used by energy experts and by the public as an information source about
• typical indicators describing each building and heat system type
• the frequencies of building types and heating system types in the national housing stock
Using the asset rating input data an energy balance can be calculated online for each building type. This will enable the demonstration of the impact of different refurbishment measures in user-defined combinations.
In Work Package 5 communication and dissemination activities are carried out. The national dissemination activities will focus on promoting the use of the typology data for different purposes (energy scientists as well as energy consultants). On EU level dissemination will concentrate on experts from non-participating countries, who will be invited to present data of typical buildings from their country by the Typology Webtool.
Work Package 6 includes the IEE dissemination activities.
